Butterscotch Syrup

I had a butterscotch latte for the first time and thought I should make this syrup at home. This is pretty easy and takes only 5 minutes and is perfect for topping pancakes, ice cream and oat milk lattes! 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1/2 brown sugar packed
  • 1 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Melt butter and mix in sugar, half and half and salt. Boil for 4 minutes while stirring. Turn off heat and add in vanilla. It will thicken up as it cools. Store in fridge.

I used a little more salt but it was rock salt so it was bigger chunks. So you can always add more salt if you want it saltier 🙂
